People , please relax.

Aristotle , a long time ago told his pupils that the East has a way of swallowing men and their dreams. Prophetic words for modern rulers who sought glory and profit going East. The US and by inference the global economy mess is not unrelated to the Eastern designs of wisdom deficient leaders of the West. The biggest deficit in the US is not economic but a deficit of leadership. The sliding Dollar going straight down to Dante’s inferno along with the economic hopes of the Neo-cons is no defence for the oil companies dancing their last hurrah while the ship is going down. Titanic wasn’t saved by the thousands of tons of energy stores saved deep inside it’s coal stores. 

Where is the vision? The whole slew of all the presidential candidates don’t exhibit visionary leadership and are all reminders of the previous leader’s hybris. Unless you dennounce the past you will have to relive it…

Why I haven’t heard from Obama or Hillary or John clearly voicing their pull out plan. Do they need to eat acid like JFK to realize the evils of the war and to find a sorely needed vision to disentangle now? Who knows?

 Things will get a lot worse before they get better.

Our last defence is also our hope and recovery. Humor and the imagination will get us through in good steed.

So go ahead relax, laugh, imagine a world recovered without the spoils of greed and avarice. Humor the losers and beware the Ides of March.
