Singularity
For cosmologists, the biggest mystery is the one that started it all, the big bang.
Conventional physics and the endless controversy between creationist / intelligent designer theorists and simple physicists as well as singularity theorists points back to an infinitely hot and dense state at the beginning of the universe, where the known laws of physics break down. And there is where the creator might lurk…
Really, we don’t know how to describe it…
How can anyone claim to have a theory of everything without that instant knowledge ?
Maybe string theory will come to the rescue and the related development known as the “holographic principle”, which shows that singularity is three dimensional.
A singularity scan reveals that it can be translated into a mathematically more manageable entity in two dimensions.
This in turn may imply that the third dimension and gravity itself are illusory.
These tools are giving us new ways of thinking about the problem and may some day remove our doubts…
These are the drug substitutes physicists use and which are deeply satisfying in a mathematical sense as well as a way to start interesting conversations down at the local.
