You know chicken come home to roost…
Sometime.
Tony Blair’s witch hunt now comes back full circle.
Next the chicken will visit Texas to roost in the ranch…
Crawford is a great place for Chicken… Little.
So I hear.
We’ll be waiting.
Britain’s Blair’s attitude towards the risk posed by Saddam Hussein “changed dramatically” after 9/11
The 11th September 2001, twin towers air attack cowed him to the Americans – Tony Blair has confessed.
He told the Iraq inquiry just now that he did it all.
Out of respect for the special relationship with Washington.
He got us all fucked up out of respect?
The former chef, former actor, former attorney, former drag queen, former pop musician, former prime minister – Mr TB – said that the policy up to that point was one of “containment”… but it changed when the Americans asked him politely.
He didn’t mention coveting the oil wealth of Iraq. Nor lining his own pockets…
He didn’t speak of his avarice and cowardice towards the ”Chicken little” texas chicken hawk and his circus evil handler.
Mr TB is facing questions in public for the first time about taking the UK to war against Iraq in an illegal war.
Sir John Chilcot began the six hour question session by saying Mr Blair could be recalled to give further evidence if necessary.
BTW, Sir Johnny. come lately(?), stressed that Mr Blair was not “on trial”. He repeated this often enough so it sounded that Mr Johnny had it rehearsed in front of the mirror this morning.
He was quizzed by the inquiry on the build-up to the 2003 invasion and is giving a spirited defence of his actions.
TB introduced today the ideas of ‘Risk assessment’ to explain away his response and wash away his responsibility.
What he really did was to introduce his utmost motivation. FEAR.
FEAR straight and simple. The yellow stuff. The yellow stain in his pants…
That was the essence of his policy – same like his chummy counterpart in Washington Georgie the paranoid Bushie.
Mr Blair said British policy towards Saddam was transformed by the terror attacks on America in September 2001.
He said: “I would fairly describe our policy up to September 11, as doing our best, hoping for the best but with a different calculus of risk assessment.”
He explained his overwhelming fear and added: “The point about those acts in New York is that, had they been able to kill more people than the 3,000, they would have. ”My view was you can’t take risks with this issue.”
He told the inquiry: Iraq had shown “10 years of defiance” and had to be brought “back into compliance”.
But he said the New York atrocities were key to the change in the “assessment” of the security risk.
Most families of the 179 British soldiers killed in Iraq are watching the evidence with others joining the few hundred anti-Blair demonstrators and protesters outside the Queen Elizabeth Conference Hall.
For example take Rose Gentle’s family. Her son, Gordon, was killed by a roadside bomb in Basra in 2004, while serving with the Royal Highland Fusiliers and she is extremely mad at Mr TB for lying about the illegal war so far…
On Regime change Blair went blank… but the people observed as he swiveled his position back to the fear motive…
The families of the dead want closure and they want Blair to explain “in depth” to the families and and the public “why he went in” fully knowing the war was illegal.
Rose said he had never done that before – and at least his confession is something.
The Chilcot inquiry asks Mr Blair at what stage he promised US President George W Bush Britain would support military action against Iraq.
Some witnesses have said assurances were given in 2002 – although then Attorney General Lord Goldsmith has told the inquiry he had warned Mr Blair that using force for regime change would be illegal.
Lord Goldsmith, whose legal opinion cabinet ministers and the British military depended upon before agreeing to involvement in the war, said he originally believed the United Nations had to approve the use of force and only changed his mind a month before the invasion.
Mr Blair has also set up another line of questioning by saying in a recent televised BBC interview that he would have backed the invasion even if he had known beforehand that Iraq had no weapons of mass destruction.
He tries to confuse and obfuscate the issues like a worm hiding in the dirt.
he conclusion is that TB’s efforts were always ‘Overtly political’ or perhaps overtly fame seeking… or overtly yellow in nature.
A former head of the civil service, Lord Turnbull, told the inquiry they should question Mr Blair about this because throughout the period leading up to war, Mr Blair had been “unambiguous” that disarming Saddam of weapons of mass destruction was his primary objective. But the reality was different.
In his appearance, Mr Blair’s former director of communications Alastair Campbell sought to address some of the questions around the key September 2002 dossier on the alleged threat posed by Saddam published in the run up to the war.
The dossier included a foreword by Mr Blair in which he wrote that he believed the intelligence, which the inquiry has been told had many caveats attached, had established “beyond doubt” that Saddam Hussein had continued to produce chemical and biological weapons.
Mr Campbell, who drafted the first version of the foreword – ultimately approved by Mr Blair – said no-one in intelligence challenged this statement which, he added, never suggested Saddam Hussein “was able to do something terrible to the British mainland”.
This will be the third time Mr Blair has given evidence during a toothless and fairly innocent inquiry into the Iraq war without any justice delivered yet.
He previously gave evidence to the Hutton inquiry, the Butler review and the Intelligence and Security Committee investigation – although the latter two into the pre-war intelligence took place behind closed doors. Questions at the Hutton inquiry were restricted to events surrounding the death of government weapons scientist Dr David Kelly, rather than the political decisions behind the war.
All these labour sham inquiries are intended to vent British people’s feelings and deflect the necessary judicial blame from the TB and his ego driven wealth envy or penis envy – take your pick – decision making.
Playing Jeeves, the End of Days butler to the American mental case from the fraternity squad, Tony will go down in History as the lowest of the lowest.
A new low for a Political leadership life form.
Officially Tony now is called the witch pus – except the witches can be offended – but the cats won’t have him either.
So back to poodle Tony it is.
Serves him right though.
Even if he gets out of this – he still pays the price - Life sentence.
He gets to live with Cherrrrrie…
Yours,
Pano
