A member of the Environmental Parliament, Greenpeace, launched a
diligent investigation on the secret funding network of the climate sceptics,
deniers, Geo engineers and the re energized and publicly greenwashing
nuclear energy lobby.
The investigation, has identified a network of octopus like special
oil interests that fund all of the above.
At the center of this nasty and noxious nexus is the US oil company
KOCH Petroleum Industries, who acts as the paymaster of global
warming sceptics, deniers, and geoengineering and nuclear types in the
US and Europe.
As a comparison, from 2005 to 2008, ExxonMobil spent $8.9 million
while the Koch Industries-controlled foundations contributed $24.9
million in funding to organizations of the ‘climate denial machine,’
and they are the single largest opponent of the East Anglia
University’s Climatic Research Unit and of the IPCC, said the
Environmental Parliament spokesperson in an executive summary to the
investigator’s report released to the media.
Greenpeace is the main environmental campaign group that accuses US
based Koch Petroleum Industries, which owns the huge tar sand lands in Canada’s
Albertan Athabaskan territories of secretly funding the Climategate and the misinformation campaign against East Anglia University’s Climatic Research Unit and funding secretly the climate sceptics, deniers, geoengineers and assorted vermin.
The Koch Petroleum Tar Sands leaseholders claim ownership of the Athabascan lands stemming from the corrupt Albertan territorial government and are engaged in a protracted sovereign property land rights dispute with the Indians who ”owned” the ancestral lands in treaties with the Crown and the Canadian government.
These lands later came to be viewed as traditional Indian reservation lands and now with the Tar Sands development are the most bespoiled lands on earth. When You fly over them up close is a Life altering experience.
Of course when the tar sands were discovered as an appealing oil con
job, the land rights were swiftly given to the KOCH oil speculators by
a client Albertan state government with the blessing of the Ottawa
front men. KOCH also owns a bunch of oil refineries and operates oil
pipelines internationally to the tune of more than one hundred billion
dollars, in assorted incomes per year. A very profitable company for
the fossil fuel age and one of the worst polluters in CO2 emissions
internationally.
But perhaps because is mostly a private company and exempt of the
disclosure requirements that large publicly traded companies like
EXXON Mobile are required to fulfill, it can get away with not telling
the truth about it’s misinformation campaigns. That is why it s a bit
of the lynchpin of pseudo science and stupid oil politics funding.
KOCH has been found to be funding more than the worst 35 climate
deniers, sceptics and geoengineering nuclear groups. Not content to be
funding advocacy and stupid misinformation groups and assorted
Asilomar Asylum groups, the KOCH company foundation groups decided to
up the ante, by generously funding more than 20 Climate Denier
politicians, committed to the cause of killing your babies. These oil
slick politicians are seemingly esteemed US congressmen and US
senators that are easily identified as bought and sold like a pork
barrel for an oil barrel exchange practitioners, of horse trading.
Greenpeace says, that these groups and individuals have spread
misinformation about climate science and led a sustained assault
against climate scientists against green alternatives to fossil fuels,
against the capital intended to create green jobs and assorted
legislation and against specific individuals involved in the
Environmental struggle.
Greenpeace says that Koch Industries donated nearly $48m (£31.8m) to
climate opposition groups between 1997-2008. From 2005-2008, it
donated $25m to groups opposed to climate change, nearly three times
as much as higher-profile funders that time such as oil company
ExxonMobil. Koch also spent $5.7m on political campaigns and $37m on
direct lobbying to support fossil fuels.
In a hard-hitting report, which appears to confirm environmentalists’
suspicions that there is a well-funded opposition to the science of
climate change, Greenpeace accuses the funded groups of “spreading
inaccurate and misleading information” about climate science and clean
energy companies.
“The company’s network of lobbyists, former executives and
organisations has created a forceful stream of misinformation that
Koch-funded entities produce and disseminate. The propaganda is then
replicated, repackaged and echoed many times throughout the
Koch-funded web of political front groups and think tanks,” said the
Greenpeace Environment parliament representatives.
“Koch industries is playing a dominant role in the global warming
debate by being the largest misinformation funder. This private,
out-of-sight corporation has become a financial kingpin of climate
science denial and clean energy opposition. On repeated occasions
organisations funded by Koch foundations have led the assault on
climate science and scientists, ‘green jobs’, renewable energy and
climate policy progress.”
The groups whose conscience has been sold to the oil devils, include
many of the best-known think tanks in the US, like Americans for
Prosperity, the Heritage Foundation, the Cato institute, the Manhattan
Institute and the Foundation for research on economics and the
environment. All have been involved in “spinning” the”climategate”
story or are at the forefront of the anti-global warming debate, says
Greenpeace.
Koch Industries is a $100bn-a-year conglomerate dominated by petroleum
and chemical interests, with operations in nearly 60 countries and
70,000 employees. It owns refineries which process more than 800,000
barrels of crude oil a day in the US, as well as a refinery in
Holland. It has held leases on the heavily polluting tar-sand fields
of Alberta, Canada and has interests in coal, oil exploration,
chemicals, forestry, and pipelines.
The majority of the group’s assets are owned and controlled by Charles
and David Koch, two of the four sons of the company’s founder. They
have been identified by Forbes magazine as the joint ninth richest
Americans and the 19th richest men in the world, each worth between
$14-16bn.
Koch has also contributed money to politicians, the report said,
listing 17 Republicans and four Democrats whose campaign funds got
more than $10,000 from the company.
The public disclosure record of the US – EPA, accuses the Koch companies of having a notorious environmental record in the US, Canada and internationally.
As an example in the year 2000 the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) fined Koch industries $30m for its role in 300 oil spills that resulted in more than 3m gallons of crude oil leaking intro ponds, lakes and coastal waters.
“The combination of foundation-funded front groups, big lobbying
budgets, political action campaign donations and direct campaign
contributions makes Koch Industries and the Koch brothers among the
most formidable obstacles to advancing clean energy and climate policy
in the US,” Greenpeace said.
The negative campaign contributions of the KOCH are such that the
noxious awards are given annually to them, their partner companies and
their top beneficiaries. Billionaire oilman David Koch likes to joke
that Koch Industries is “the biggest company you’ve never heard of.”
But the nearly $50 million that David Koch and his brother Charles
have quietly funneled to climate-denial front groups that are working
to delay policies and regulations aimed at stopping global warming is
no joking matter.
Well that will not be the case any longer.
Companies, their bankers, their partners and governments will know the
way to the misinformation sewer of climate deniers and geoengineering
nightmares has a well remembered brand name: KOCH - the dirty fools.
These are the Top 10 Koch beneficiaries 2005-2008
Mercatus center: ($9.2m received from Koch grants 2005-2008)
Conservative think tank at George Mason University. This group
suggested in 2001 that global warming would be beneficial in winter
and at the poles. In 2009 they recommended that nothing be done to cut
emissions.
Americans for prosperity. ($5.17m). Have built opposition to clean
energy and climate legislation with events across US.
Institute for humane studies ($1.96m). Several prominent climate
sceptics have positions here, including Fred Singer and Robert
Bradley.
Heritage foundation ($1.62m). Conservative think tank leads US
opposition to climate change science.
Cato Insitute ($1.02m). Think tank disputes science behind climate
change and questions the rationale for taking action.
Manhattan Institute ($800,000). This institute regularly publishes
climate science denials.
Washington legal foundation ($655,000) Published articles on the
business threats posed by regulation of climate change.
Federalist society for law ($542,000) advocates inaction on global warming.
National center for policy analysis ($130,000) NCPA disseminates
climate science scepticism.
American council on science and health ($113,800) Has published papers
claiming that cutting greenhouse emissions would be detrimental to
public health.
Additionally the Geoengineering proponent think tanks Climate Response
Fund and the Climate Institute.
Both the Climate Response Fund and the Climate Institute are the
Geoengineering funders and organizers, respectively of the Asilomar
International Conference on Climate Intervention that caused so much
controversy with their Nuking the upper atmosphere proposal to bring
on the nuclear winter
in order to cool the Earth… Serious engineering nutjobs.
Further, the two geoengineering Think tanks, with the leadership of
Margaret Leinen and Michael McCracken respectively, have been the
recipients of the Koch Oil company’s foundations’ and subgroups’
funding largess. In their labyrinthine ways the old adage: ”Follow
the money” will surely uncover a whole lot more of the Climate
haters.
That they are clients of a dirty oil paymaster, most surely informs
the way their work damages intentionally the Climate and the
Environment by spreading misinformation even before they are allowed
to engage in their geoengineering nightmares of nuking our upper
atmosphere as it was suggested by a series of their ”concerned”
nuclear scientist in the Asilomar conference. These abnormal and
asymmetrical war like reactions to the natural environment are a
global Suicide recipe claimed as justified in order to stop global
warming.
If the above inmates of the ”Asilomar Asylum,” geoengineering folks and their hapless
global followers and politicians looking for an easy solution, or a magic bullet, had any
intelligence, sensitivity and consciousness – or if they had any inkling of the
damage they are doing to the Environment and the Climate momentum -
they would self immolate. An act of spontaneous self combustion and humility, would
be a good exhibit of a science experiment that affects only themselves
and doesn’t involve killing other people’s babies.
And these are the natural Climate haters and dirty oil money Funders
extraordinnaires, themselves:

The Foundations from which Climate denial organizations receive
millions of dollars
in grants made by the main three Koch-controlled and funded foundations:
The Claude R. Lambe foundation; the Charles G. Koch
foundation; and the David H. Koch foundation.
Claude R. Lambe Foundation
The Claude R. Lambe Foundation is the financier of
organizations taking a more visible, active role in day-today
efforts to oppose clean energy and climate policy.
The Foundation contributed $12.2 million to climate
opposition groups since 2005.
The Board of Directors is comprised entirely of Koch
family members, senior Koch executives and staff who
serve Koch foundations:128
• Richard Fink — President
• Logan Moore — Secretary
• Vonda Holliman — Treasurer
• Charles G. Koch — Director
• Elizabeth B. Koch — Director
• Elizabeth R. Koch — Director
• Charles C. Koch — Director
Charles G. Koch Foundation
The Charles G. Koch Foundation tends to fund institutes
that broadly support efforts to oppose clean energy and
climate legislation. The Foundation contributed $11.7
million since 2005 to such climate denial organizations
and front groups.
The Board of Directors of the Charles G. Koch Foundation
is nearly identical to that of the Claude R. Lambe
Foundation:
• Richard Fink — President
• Kevin Gentry — Vice President
• Logan Moore — Secretary
• Vonda Holliman — Treasurer
• Charles G. Koch — Director
• Elizabeth B. Koch — Director
• Elizabeth R. Koch — Director
• Charles C. Koch — Director
David H. Koch Foundation
The David H. Koch Foundation historically had a wide array
of conservative, anti-environmental grant recipients. From
1997 to 2008 the foundation contributed over $9 million to
climate opposition groups. Since 2005, the Foundation has
contributed $1 million to the Americans for Prosperity Foundation
(AFP). AFP is the only climate denial organization to
recently receive money from the David H. Koch Foundation.
David Koch is a co-founder and chairman of AFP.
The small staff of the David H. Koch Foundation includes:
• David H. Koch — President/Director
• Ruth E. Williams — Secretary
• Vonda Holliman — Treasurer
God save us from overly rich people with an evil ”Minnie me” agenda…

PS:
Blame it on the market is the standard response of idiots.
Idiots: AKA: Bankers - wankers, Oilmen – Petrol heads, Clean Coal
advocates, Nuclear and Geo engineering types, Corporate Greenwashers
and ‘oiled up” and properly slime lubed Politicians.
So this Press Release from Koch industries bellow isn’t any different.
“Koch companies believe scientific debate requires an open and honest
airing of all viewpoints and research. Koch companies will continue
our work to advance economic freedom and market-based policy solutions
to the challenges our society faces.”
PS2:
We say:
This company is exposed of anti consumer behaviour and societal
destructive politicking.
Both are very nasty effects for their brand and long term value. They
sort of like drooped a bomb inside their underpants. They stink. Their
long term value is unsustainable and they will be abandoned by their
partners who are conscious of their own public image.
So speak up at the shareholder meetings and engage in activist
shareholder tactics. In all the companies that are doing business with
KOCH.
As for a far more sophisticated strategy… Announce your dislike of
the stocks and Sort the hell out of all companies involved in the
Enron type partnerships with the myriad shells of Koch Industries and
see if their house of cards collapses into an oil slick.
Do it long term or in the three year options maximum for these Energy
refining capacity derivatives and make a bunch of mullah while being
helpful to the Environment and the markets…
PS3:
Pay it forward. The more people You network the news of the oportunity
to make money – the more hyenas will be attracted to the kill.
Announce widely your short exposure positions to all and sundry – the
greater your spread – the greater your benefit will be.
As for the barrel of oil bought politicians…
Vote them out of office, by providing economic and volunteer support to their environmentally conservative
Republican or Democratic opponents.
Again: Koch’s PAC heavily favors Republicans: 88% of its contributions went to Republicans during the 2008election284 cycle; 86% went to Republicans in the 2006 cycle.285 Koch’s PAC also heavily favors RepublicanParty committees and leadership. In 2009, Koch’s PAC gave• $15,000 to the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC), and $15,000 to the NationalRepublican Senatorial Committee (NRSC).• $5,000 to Restore America PAC ( founded by U.S. Senator Sam Brownback R-TX); $5,000 to FreedomProject (founded by U.S Rep John Boehner R-OH); and $10,000 to Cantor For Congress (founded byU.S. Rep. Eric Cantor R-VA)U.S. House Members receiving morethan $20,000 from Koch Industries PACsince 2006 election cycleKochPAC Recipient (House) TotalCuellar, Henry (D-TX) $30,500Cantor, Eric (R-VA) $28,000Barton, Joe (R-TX) $26,500Blackburn, Marsha (R-TN) $25,000Boehner, John (R-OH) $25,000Kline, John (R-MN) $25,000Davis, Geoff (R-KY) $24,000Boyd, Allen (D-FL) $21,500Boren, Dan (D-OK) $20,500In addition, Koch owns Georgia Pacific and Flint Hill Resources, employees of which now give money toKoch PAC; e.g., Georgia Pacific CEO Patrick Boushka gave $25,000 to Koch PAC in 2008 cycle.3. Family and Individual Political ContributionsCharles and David Koch, along with their wives, have contributed substantial amounts to federal GOP partycommittees. Since the 2006 election cycle, Koch family members contributed at least $270,800 to theRepublican National Committee (RNC), NRSC, and NRCC.• 2006 election cycle: $101,400• 2008 election cycle: $139,000• 2010 election cycle (through end of 2009): $30,400No donations to the Democratic National Committee, National Democratic Senatorial Committee, or theNational Democratic Congressional Committee were found from theseU.S. Senate Members receiving more than$10,000 from Koch Industries PAC since 2004election cycleKochPAC Recipient (Senate) TotalDeMint, James W (R-SC) $20,000Murkowski, Lisa (R-AK) $20,000Lincoln, Blanche (D-AR) $18,000Burr, Richard (R-NC) $15,500Chambliss, Saxby (R-GA) $15,000Coburn, Tom (R-OK) $15,000Roberts, Pat (R-KS) $15,000Thune, John (R-SD) $15,000Inhofe, James M (R-OK) $13,500Vitter, David (R-LA) $12,500Cornyn, John (R-TX) $12,500Shelby, Richard C (R-AL) $11,500
And there is much more to the KOCH PETROLEUM INDUSTRIES lobbying and Political Spending that cannot be easily uncovered but one can only guess at… Certainly Congress fines them n 1996 for Campaign contributions and issue advertisement violations for the Congressionsl elections. With the new Supreme Court Ruling of Corporations financing campaigns in an unlimited fashion, they shall have no problem buying easy consciousness in the seats of Executive power. If you have any further finance information, please pass along… Thanks
