The frenzy of insecurity, fear, and wall building has taken over the world.
Vast stretches of borders have become concentration camp like territory, with killing guards, huge impenetrable barriers, electrified fences and minefields.
Even bankrupt Greece builds such concentration camp walls across the Evros river, in order to ostensibly stop the trickle of ragged refugees crossing the minefields and braving the bullets of the watchful soldiers, in the heavily militarized border between Greece and Turkey. Keep the hungry out is what their German paymasters dictate apparently…
It’s a sad iron curtain separating people.
And this is an instance of many small and large Iron Curtains coming back to life fifty years after Stalin – architect of terror – wall building mania perished. Yet the new Stalin inspired imitators claim to be Democratic leaders. They can be Conservative, liberals, Neo liberals, Socialists, Eurosocialists, Neo conservatives or Neo Nazis for all that matters. Yet they fail to see that they simply emulate Stalin’s wet dreams and following Hitler’s Mein Campf dictums.
Better take a long hard look at the mirror my friends. As leaders you suck. Do you not remember the Biblical lesson of Abraham’s hospitality?
And as followers, you suck too. For these are your representatives and this is your life inside the self realized iron curtain. Do you not know that America and all great countries were built on the back of these enterprising immigrants?
And by the way – its you who happen to live in these vast prisons these walls create…
The irony of this is that the various progressive Democratic Peoples have been stirred into a frenzy of hate demanding these walls to be circled in. Building their luxuriating jails, moving inside and throwing away the keys.
Ah the irony…
You see — I don’t want to live on neither side of these walls.
Please tear down those walls for humanity yearns to be free…
Stop the Iron Curtain from shuttering in our lives.
Let intelligence rule over our lower animal passions. Stop the concentration camp wall building.
Let the resident agriculturalists and the migrant refugees join hands if they can make the journey of conscience…
Let’s not repeat Cain vs Abel unfortunate ”brotherly love” story all over again. Every day…
Even in Davos everyone wants to segregate their country, their economy, their people and even their culture from the others. The globalist WEF conference now stands for ‘World’s Every Fucker’ get together instead of a commonality of humanity looking expectantly to the future. Mighty people getting together and feasting in Switzerland talking about money. And these leaders are talking about interest rates and banking and money lending ad infinitum. It is all they think of how we will further monetize our cultures, economies and societies — instead of how we will liberate them. Are these people daft?
The Davos crowd is talking about the money and usury only. The sensible Swiss like their freaking cuckoo clocks are punctilious and the various debt instruments and derivatives are their only cause. Yet without concern over the climate debt, they are just being as important as the wooden cuckoo is for calling forth the springtime. Because the Environmental debt we have incurred while ravaging senselessly the planet – is what we need to look after. It is this planet, it’s atmosphere and nature and it’s ”freely” offered environmental services that allows us to have an economy in the first instance.
And in an era marked by the good and the bad effects of a much needed globalization and human integration we are now suddenly lost.
Lost in a muddle of fear and hate. We are backtracking forcefully – misled by the Cassandras – piping fearful messages to a believing public.
Abraham Lincoln said that separating humanity into North and South is a sure fire way to civil war and unrest.
Same goes for me because I think that when we separate the global North from the global South and divide people based on their accident of birth, the colour of their skin or passport and the selective blindness of a person’s DNA, we are surely going to war. We are waging war against humanity. And sure enough – as old Abe foretold – this will lead to the blood and guts spilling firestorm of a really nasty bloodletting war. Cause it always brings on the war.
Unjust divisions bring war. Imbalance creates disorder. Human disharmony leads to conflict and inequity causes bloodshed.
The national border wall building, the refugee drownings, undocumented people’s mistreatment and attendant imprisonment of all unlawful new comers — will surely lead to wars, famines and vast human suffering.
Alternatively for the societies welcoming them — these refugees can fuel human growth in our economies and they can re-awaken dormant potential in the marginal nations.
Don’t turn off the river of humanity that brings on the goodness of entrepreneurship and real effort to secure a place in the sun. These are the best and brightest their nations can produce and they come as supplicants to the temple. They are inviolate because of the ancient laws of hospitality and caring. But most importantly with the new Climate Change realities nobody knows who the next wave of refugees will be. Ask the wealthy Australians flooded out of their homes if they feel kinship with the Pakistani flood victims for whom they failed to offer aid to, because of their ”alien” religious creed to the God fearing Aussies…
So let this serve as a message to leaders and followers alike. Building walls never saved anyone but rather led to the demise of those walled in, of their cities, nations and economies. Who remembers the old Soviet Union anymore? What remains of their sad Iron Curtain?

Just take your hands and pluck your eyes out for the sirens of war are lulling you to sleep…
Maybe once blind — you can see better.
Oedipus saw more than you’ll ever understand with your incessant wall building.
Because human migrations are just as much a part of Life and Nature as it is the movement of the birds, the fish, animals and all mammals across the air, across the seas, the lands and all of earth’s vast physical terrains that make up their migration patterns.
Because we are all interconnected. Humans amongst ourselves we are connected. We are connected with the rest of Gaia too, and to the rest of the natural world, the rest of Creation, the rest of Pacha Mama or what have You. But above all we are humans. Humans shall not kill nor deprive humans is the cardinal law of our survival… Yet we so often violate this along with the rest of the commandments of a loving God. We deprive the best breed of Humans from unleashing ”our” best variants of DNA amongst us to improve the genetic pool. We deprive the Darwinian level playing field from showing up the best DNA for the betterment of our common progeny.
Do You think that’s good?
National borders are wonderful inventions of the nationalism rising in the previous millennium. An outdated idea. A lopsided train of thought justified them back when the Dark Ages ruled the day. Now they are outmoded. And they can be damn hard to transcend. For transcend we need to do for the Peoples of this earth need room to maneuver away from disasters and environmental economic stresses. They are no longer in vogue. The Berlin walls of yore are coming back with a nasty vengeance. Americans vs Mexicans. Israelis vs the ghetto come concentration camp of Gaza. India vs the drowning people of Bangladesh. Europe vs the ragged floating refugees from the Maghreb and the Arab world. What all this wall building excludes really is the fresh blood coming in to regenerate the comfortable geriatric societies of the rich North… Failing to bring in the new blood will surely lead to stagnation. But that’s another matter for the smart economists, the Social Biologists and the Historians to ponder further.
Even the current crop of popular democratic uprisings across the globe, has got to lead us to re-evaluate our recipe for nationhood. So many Peoples want to join hands. Look at the European Union that everyone wants to join in. Or at least their best citizens are willing to brave minefields to come live there…
Look at South Sudan that has just decided to be free. Free from oppression and division based on creed and tribe.
Look at Tunisia too. And so does Algeria and Yemen. People yearn to be free and join the community of nations as humans free from bondage.
People yearn to break free from these arbitrary wall constructs.
Even ultra conservative Egypt is pushing up for the sunrise and although the Dictator has just turned ugly shooting his own people, jailing all dissidents and activists and turning off all Internet access, by fiat of a failing stupid dictatorial government — no amount of repression will stop the people from gaining their human rights. Because they want to join the world. As equals and not as jail birds.
And for Egypt its a bloody shame to shut down the Internet from all of this nation. This the country of light of yore and the birthplace of the Alexandrine spirit and Philosophy. The birthplace of modern scientific thinking and inquiry. Biblioteca Alexandrina with the vast repository of Internet history in the current incarnation of the ancient Library of Alexandria is going dark today and for as long this current dictator wants. Mind you this is the only total and complete Internet mirror site in the world. The only historical repository of Internet and it’s daily iterations in the world is here, where we celebrated the two Millenia of knowledge. And then a silly bastard of a Despot shuts it down. Just like that.
How is that for Internet freedom? If you find this abhorring… never mind.
Because this is the same as the insane wall building of your governments. The Egyptian dictator’s shutting down of the Internet is an action of wall building. And as such it helps to highlight and put into perspective the fragility of our human aspirations, the failings of our global communications and digital world. The transient nature of our lives, messages and digital footprint. We are all lost in the sands in an instance…
But for all the rhetoric of western leaders – Egypt’s shutting down of the Internet – it’s just another instance of wall building. Nothing more nothing less. And just as criminal as the killing of their own people by the Egyptian army and police.
And as you’ll see it will be just as ineffective to protect the broken down regimes from the sands of time.
