The issue with Environmental conferences is that they are always quite a few paces behind the state of the world because the losses we have been facing are such and so varied, no amount of talking will cure them.
Remember as the old saw goes: Every environmental loss is permanent whereas our wins are always temporary…
The only advise for negotiators in COP we have is to remember to do you best to bring forth the capacity to constantly engage and talk and talk to the other side in order to solve issues before they arise as roadblocks.
Yet if the communication fails then go ahead and fight like mad…
